Individuals that have been diagnosed with dementia and are no longer able to live independently at home due to requiring specialist 24-hour care services. During our inspection, we spoke with several people who use the service and two relatives. They were all complimentary about the care provided by the service, and the staff who cared for them.
They were provided with a healthy balanced diet that met their individual needs. Relatives and healthcare professionals were positive about the skills, experience and abilities of staff who worked at the home. They received training and refresher updates relevant to their roles and had regular supervision meetings to discuss and review their development and performance. Our activity programme ensures that residents remain stimulated and engaged and our activity coordinators take into account the resident’s hobbies, needs and interests.
